Resveratrol Side Effects - Understanding My Resveratrol Experience Website
As the three year birthday of My Resveratrol Experience approaches I thought it would be a good idea to explain a few things to the new, and existing, readers of this site.
My Resveratrol Experience (MRE) was created at a time when there was very little information on resveratrol available to people on the web. MRE was created just prior to the resveratrol boom (when Sirtris wasn't owned by GSK) that brought out the scammers and legitimate business minds alike. At that time I knew very little about resveratrol and was learning along with everyone else online. I am still learning every day.
Since the start of MRE the site has grown to include thousands of followers and visitors every week. Many of the new readers of MRE reach us because they are searching for "real user experiences" or "resveratrol side effect" information. When people search for these things they often find MRE and end up staying a while reading all of the user accounts. MRE helps to provide some clarity or direction for some people and that was my original intentions.

Our goal is to devise ways to prevent and treat the major diseases of society by manipulating genes that control how fast we age. In the past 10 years there has been a paradigm shift in our understanding of aging. Until the 1990's, almost all researchers believed that the aging process was too complex to find drugs that could slow it. Then geneticists began to uncover single genes that could dramatically extend the lifespan of laboratory organisms such as yeast, worms, flies, and mice. How could this be? We now know that the rate of aging is not predetermined - it is naturally regulated by a few critical genes. These genes underlie the remarkable effects of the diet known as calorie restriction (CR), which delays aging in every species tested, from yeast to primates. CR is currently the only treatment that can prevent all diseases of aging including cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and neurodegeneration. Recent studies in our lab and others demonstrate that the ability of CR to extend lifespan in models organisms is governed by the Sirtuins. Animals lacking Sirtuin genes do not respond to CR and additional gene copies extend lifespan. Based on these findings, we have engineered small molecules that can activate mammalian Sirtuins in vivo, with a view to developing drugs that can (i) treat the diseases of aging and (ii) promote cell survival and recovery following an injury. We utilize any approach we need to answer a specific question including chemistry, biochemistry, genetics and cell biology. Models systems include yeast, C. elegans, mammalian cell culture and rodents.

Are Western Medicine Doctors Accepting of Natural or Holistic Treatments?

Traditionally, doctors who practice Western medicine traditionally have not been too accepting of the value of holistic or natural medicine. The first issue that comes to mind is the ego of the individuals concerned. The Western doctors are determined to maintain their supremacy over the health matters of the community while the holistic and natural are determined to be part of the process even if this means that there is an increased likelihood for friction. This struggle will define the way that the different elements react to the research developments in the medical world. A large majority of Western Medicine Practitioners are frankly dismissive of anything that is outside their technical understanding.

Resveratrol and Related Compounds Questioned over SIRT1 Activation
In the anti-ageing research world, there is a quiet but albeit, an important battle brewing. The battle is over whether or not resveratrol and compounds similar to it, such as SRT1720, actually do directly activate SiRT1.
The implications of such findings would have a great impact on companies developing anti-aging drugs or therapies associated with the SiRT1 gene. It will be interesting to see where the research takes us.

Estos métodos verdaderos y probados tienen mucha más evidencia científica que el método de beber cantidades moderadas de alcohol. Más aún, los beneficios sugeridos por algunos estudios sobre el consumo de alcohol probablemente se deben a otros factores como:
- Una dieta rica en frutas y vegetales
- Antioxidantes que se encuentran en el vino tinto llamados flavonoides (que también se encuentran en otros alimentos como las uvas y el jugo de la uva roja)
- Más actividad física en los países en donde se bebe vino regularmente
También existe una sustancia del alcohol conocida como resveratrol, la cual puede reducir la formación de coágulos de sangre. Sin embargo, si se corre el riesgo de padecer una cardiopatía o un accidente cerebrovascular, tomar ácido acetilsalicílico (aspirin) siguiendo las instrucciones del médico es el método más común para reducir las probabilidades de desarrollar un coágulo sanguíneo. Nota: no se debe tomar alcohol si se toma ácido acetilsalicílico (aspirin) con regularidad.

Un médico sabe mucho y puede rápidamente determinar si puede haber conflicto con algún padecimiento en su salud.
La regla Universal dice que si es natural no causa daño, por ahí me contestó una mujer en el foro de éste escéptico y me decía porque entonces no me tragaba arsénico, y sabe cuanto más, le informo a la señora que sí los consumimos con diferentes fórmulas químicas y en diferentes dosis de forma natural.
Recuerde Dios es sabio.
Pero no se trata de tragar lumbre sino de estar sano, por encima de intereses mezquinos.
Si no hay transparencia y no se demuestra inteligencia en instituciones como ésta de la COFEPRIS estimula serias dudas en cuanto a su conducta.
Tal vez el tema de los seleccionados nacionales de fútbol que dieron positivo en un prueba de drogas, desató el pánico de ésta gente y se apresuraron de forma tonta e irresponsable.
Ese tipo de conducta por parte de la COFEPRIS denota estupidez, ojalá y Felipe Calderón haga algo,

Difama a médicos titulados de México, y el muy estúpido no tiene ninguna formación académica, no sabe nada de geografía, de anatomía humana, de física, cosas elementales. Pero el muy imbécil si tiene las agallas para escribir patrañas de gente ajena, estudiosa y dedicada a la investigación. Es increíble pero cierto el señor estudia con libros viejos y caducos, el muy imbécil piensa que la ingeniería genética es solo un sueño.
¡ Habrase visto! Hoy denuncio a éstos idiotas que están confundiendo a la gente y diseminando mentiras como ciertas con la máscara de la religión de los escépticos.
